This is when I hit peak college sophomore pretentious. So the deal with this track is that Jean Paul Sarte was a French philosopher and he wrote a book I read for class called Nausea. Its a boring book, but toward the end he is in a cafe and can hear this song on the radio while thinking about his existence and our professor tracked down what he thinks the recording Sarte heard was. So the title of the track is a reference to a distinction that Sarte makes between a beings existence and their essence.
